Dolphin Tale is an upcoming drama film directed by Charles Martin Smith from a screenplay by Karen Janszen and starring Harry Connick Jr., Ashley Judd and Morgan Freeman.The film is inspired by the true story of a bottlenose dolphin named Winter who was rescued off the Florida coast and taken in by the Clearwater Marine Aquarium.

It is set for release on September 23, 2011 in North America by Warner Bros. Pictures. The film will also be released in 3D

Movie Synopsis
Because of the death trap that Winter the dolphin had to lose his tail. Winter is survived due to the help of people who find it. Unfortunately, this does not mean a problem Winter is over. Without a tail, Winter would not be able to swim again. Gone was the freedom which have been the friend of Winter.

Sawyer (Nathan Gamble) was accidentally discovered that Winter was injured. Winter then taken to the Clearwater Marine Hospital. Winter's life was saved but the tail remains missing Winter. Now it all depends on Sawyer and people around the Winter. If they surrender, Winter fate is clear. He will no longer be able to swim.

Fortunately they did not give up. Dr. McCarthy (Morgan Freeman) is a prosthetics expert who tried desperately to make an artificial tail for Winter the dolphin could swim freely as before. This business is easy because it is not an attempt to make an artificial tail that can serve not been done before
