The Tourist is a 2010 romantic thriller film directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, starring Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp. It is a remake of the 2005 French action film Anthony Zimmer. After a very public slow start, The Tourist went on to gross US$ 277 million worldwide. Despite the negative reception from the critics, the film was nominated for three Golden Globes, with a debate arising over the question if it was a comedy or a drama. Donnersmarck repeatedly stated it was neither genre, calling it "a travel romance with thriller elements", but that if he had to choose between the two, he would choose comedy.

Both Angelina and Johnny be able to eliminate the image of each of their previous films. Angelina is commonly seen as a strong woman, this time it appears more graceful and natural as a woman. Johnny Depp was not to be outdone by Angelina, who is the captain Johnny successfully eliminated by appearing as an innocent man who was heartbroken.
The story begins when Elise (Angelina Jolie) who becomes the target of the British police take advantage of Frank Tupelo (Johnny Depp) who is a tourist from America. Elise which turned out to have a girlfriend named Alexander Pearce tried to meet with his hero by utilizing Frank.
It is not difficult for Frank to fall in love with Elise, graceful and attractive female figures inherent in self-Elise. But Frank's decision to prefer against the mysterious figure of Elise was carrying tourists from the United States it became a target.
