Valerie (Amanda Seyfried) is a beautiful young woman who faces the dilemma between the two men. He falls in love with the woodcutter, Peter (Shiloh Fernandez), but his parents had arranged for her to marry Henry (Irons), a rich young man. Do not want to lose one another, Valerie and Peter are planning to run away together when they learned that Valerie's brother had been killed by human wolves who seek opportunity in the dark forest around their village.
