The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

The Dark Knight Rises is an upcoming American superhero film under the development of Christopher Nolan, David S. Goyer, and Jonathan Nolan.Based on the DC Comics character Batman, the film will be the third and final installment in Nolan's Batman film series. The film is scheduled for release in the United States and Canada on July 20, 2012 by Warner Bros.

Movie Synopsis
Director Christopher Nolan leads an all-star international cast, Christian Bale again plays the dual role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. The film also stars Anne Hathaway, as Selina Kyle – the extremely agile and elusive Catwoman; Tom Hardy, as Bane – the muscle-bound super villain best known for breaking Batman’s back in the DC comic book “Knightfall;” Josh Pence, as the young Ra’s Al Ghul – the founder of the League of Assassins who knows Batman’s secret identity; Marion Cotillard, as Miranda Tate – a Wayne Enterprises board member; and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as John Blake – a Gotham City beat cop assigned to special duty under the command of Commissioner Gordon. Returning to the main cast, Michael Caine plays Alfred; Gary Oldman is Commissioner Gordon; and Morgan Freeman reprises the role of Lucius Fox. Filming will take place on three continents and include the American cities of Pittsburgh, New York and Los Angeles, as well as sites in India, England and Scotland.
