Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy is an upcoming film directed by Tomas Alfredson, from a screenplay by Bridget O'Connor and Peter Straughan based on the 1974 novel Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy by John le Carré. The film will star Gary Oldman as George Smiley, and co-star Colin Firth, Tom Hardy, Mark Strong, Ciarán Hinds and Benedict Cumberbatch. It was produced through the British company Working Title Films and financed by France's StudioCanal.

Movie Synopsis
An ex-British agent (Gary Oldman) is brought out of retirement to rout out an MI6 double agent in this adaptation of John Le Carré's novel. Colin Firth, Tom Hardy, and Ciarán Hinds round out the starring cast, with Tomas Alfredson helming a script by Bridget O'Connor and Peter Straughan.
